Q. How long after I adopt before I get the medical records.
A. We usually wait about a week after adoption to send records. This gives time to make sure the adoption is going to work out. We don’t encourage returns, and would rather work with people to keep a dog, but adding a new member of the family brings new and unexpected changes. Once everyone is confident we send any records we currently have. Sometimes we don’t have all the records immediately and must follow up with the shelters to obtain them. In those cases it can take a little longer, but we endeavor to make the records available as quickly as possible.
Q. What kind of food have you been feeding the dogs?
A. We have primarily been using PurinaOne dry food and Pedigree Chopped Ground wet food. We also receive donations of miscellaneous foods through a wonderful partnership with Oregon Dog Rescue.
Q. How do I pay the adoption fee?
A. K-9 Elite Rescue can accept cash, checks, and credit card payments via https://k-9elite.dog/paypal . Note that while you can use PayPal to send the money, that is not required – you only need a credit card.
At present, K-9 Elite Rescue does NOT accept Venmo, CashApp, etc.
