What do we need?

Here are a few of the items that we need the most often :

Why do we need these?

Successfully rescuing dogs is a tireless activity that involves feeding dogs, dishes (all the bowls need to be cleaned, twice a day, every day), giving them play time outside, monitoring their interactions with people and dogs, walking them, cleaning their crates, cleaning the environment around their crates, laundry – lots of laundry (bedding needs to be cleaned regularly), giving them baths, picking up their poop, dump runs (seriously, between poop and cleaning supplies – there’s a lot of waste produced), store runs for supplies, ordering and spreading wood chips/straw/hay, fixing fences, filling holes, writing bios, taking pictures and videos, posting, responding to inquiries and applications, responding to questions from fosters and adopters, paperwork, paperwork, paperwork, trimming nails, microchipping, vaccinations, flea/tick/deworming medications, veterinary visits for spays/neuters/injuries/illnesses, paperwork for veterinary visits, contracts, licenses, and the list goes on. All of this takes time … and money. There’s no way to do this without a group effort, and that’s why we call upon the community to help us cover the needs and costs for the dogs.

Don’t get me wrong – those of us who do rescue love these dogs, and wouldn’t trade what we do for the world, but every step of a dog’s journey to its forever home is a community effort, and we couldn’t do it without one of the most important members of the community – YOU!

THANK YOU! 🙂
